Let us now ogle the fair-haired Targaryen siblings as they work to reclaim the throne and rule over the seven kingdoms. We meet Daenerys (Emilia Clarke), at first a frightened victim of circumstance. But boy does she learn quickly how to get out from under her brother’s thumb and how to gain all the power for herself. Her ethereal, wide-eyed beauty and long flowing hair certainly help with the manipulation of those around her. She is small but mighty.
Then there’s sniveling, spoiled, selfish and scary brother Viserys Targaryen (Harry Lloyd). He wants to be king and doesn’t care if he has to marry off, sell, rape, maim or kill his sister to do it.
(As always, *CLICK* the pics for much larger versions!)
Here’s Daenerys’ future husband, Dothraki king Khal Drogo (Jason Momoa). Drogo provides the only shirtless/naked eye candy we get for awhile in this series.
Every exchange between the siblings is filled with angst, sadness, anger, regret, fear and pain.
Daenerys rides next to her adviser on all things Dothraki, the also-exiled Ser Jorah Mormont (Iain Glen).
This next photo totally reminds me of Legolas hair. There may be a battle over who is the prettiest. *G*
Viserys doesn’t care how scared Daenerys is, as long as she makes Drogo happy–and gets him to put his armies behind Viserys and his claim to the throne.
The Dothraki on the move…
This woman is just beyond beautiful. Her acting is also superb, because she manages to combine vulnerability and strength, fear and anger, and some really spiky craziness into one little package, often conveying all of these emotions with just the look in her eyes or subtle shifts in her body language.
